Hello all! I am not as tough as this picture depicts. I was feeling pumped after a workout. A workout I do 5-6 days per week...in my home...for FREE! Yep- I work out for free! This is me post baby #6. I know, I know! Six kids! I was miserable in my post baby body, though. I am a Trim Healthy Mama and ate right! 100% on plan. This was a stressful time as we sold our home we thought we'd live in forever. Our family out grew it and we had to move. I had no time for exercise with packing, moving and nursing a baby.
(Even though I felt okay by eating right, I wanted more results than just weight loss)
Once we sold our home we had to live in a rental while our new home was being built. It was a tiny 1200 ft house, housing 8 people. I found Fitnessblender on the web one day! I had no time to go anywhere to work out! What they offered seemed like it might work... I had to take my laptop in the garage and sweat out there. There was literally no room to sweat in house through the sea of children!
I started Fitnessblender and saw results fast! Here is a few months between eating right and eating right paired with exercise!

(My oldest took the picture on the left. I couldn't believe my belly hung over my seatbelt! This is when I started Fitnessblender! Several months later I had my son take another picture as motivation to myself that I was headed in the right direction!)

THE BELLY!!!
I have a ton of room to talk and am a complete expert on.... the belly! As mine has been stretched out SIX TIMES! I feel like I'm qualified in this area to say... "YES YOU CAN!" Yes you can have a flatter stomach after kids and weight loss! Yes you can have a trim waist! Here is my before and after belly pictures that I a most proud to share!

These pictures speak volumes AND I did this for FREE! No gym. I worked out on my own schedule and not on a gym schedule. I have a set of dumbbells and a yoga ball! That's it!

UPDATE!! This is 18 months from start to finish. Picture on the left is a few weeks after birthing my sixth baby and picture on the right is this year's vaca to Florida! I feel stronger and have so much more energy! I have done almost all the FB programs. The last one I finished was Mass Building! YES you can!!!!!!
This is just what I've been looking for! Thank you for inspiring me. I'm a mother of five, this side of Eternal life. I have been doing Fitness blender off and on since 2011 and with being pregnant was not able to get to where I wanted...which is fine because I love children! I am on Trim Healthy Mama too and have been working out with Fitness Blender for about 2 weeks. You look amazing and I just know it's how our body's were meant and designed to be...strong and healthy!

I think about all the lifting of toddlers, caring laundry baskets, cleaning, trucking it through multiple grocery stores... We gotta keep up health and strength if we want to survive. My heart aches for moms that are overweight and have to do all these things! So difficult! Have you done any programs? I am on the FB Flex right now, throwing in some weighted leg days, HIIT and abs! It's my stress reliever for sure! Hope to see you around more :)

DeleteI'm glad my comment gave you a boost :) I really do enjoy fb workouts. I feel so much better after them. I am working through their first 8 week program and then I hope to build up and I'd love to complete all of their programs! I have been looking around at your recipes and stories and love these great ideas and tips! Keep up the good work! One day at a time.

ReplyDeleteThat was a great inspiration!! I am,myself a FB fan and have lost 35 pounds with them.But being in college, due to stress and more work, I regained about 20 lbs now :(.. I often feel stressed out by seeing my body. All this weight which I gained gets stored in my arms.I desperately want to start my journey with FB again. I am truly fascinated by your muscles. I just want to know how much weight you are using. I have pairs of 10kg,6kg,4kg and 2kg dumbbells.Would that suffice? Please help me.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you are stressed out! I know the feeling! Raising 6 kids over here. If I were in your spot I would map out a plan. 2-3 days of weight training and 2-3 days of HIIT and/or Cardio. Get online and try to figure out your BMR and TDEE. You need to know how much you are burning and then make sure you eat less than that. My fitness pal is a great app! If you eat more than you burn, you'll never get ahead in the weight loss game! It's all about the math. I lift VERY heavy, squatting 100lbs. You don't have to go that heavy but you need to challenge yourself. Doing bicep curls with 5lb weights just won't cut.
Delete-Clean up your diet (Do a search on Trim Healthy Mama)
-Get more rest in your life (Cortisol is important)
-Weight train first and add in HIIT and cardio
-Drink LOTS of water! (more than you think)
-Don't stress! (it doesn't do a lick of good ;)
You can do it!!!!!

ReplyDeleteThank you. I did FB for years. I bought all their programs. It was great. I have moved onto a more challenging program called Cathe. I am getting into more body building and less weight loss.
ReplyDeleteI lost 7 pounds during the 21 Day Fix. I could have lost more, but I had some salt issues in the last week. If I eat to much salt, I don't lose weight. I retain water like crazy, but once the water is gone, I haven't lost any weight. It sucks, but that's the story of my life. I lost a half inch in my chest, a half inch in my right right and a half inch in my left bicep. Weird, but true. My numbers aren't very impressive, but I hadn't lost any weight in a few months. I finished 21 Day Fix in January and I think it was the previous September when the scale had moved last, so while 7 pounds isn't crazy impressive in 21 days, I was thrilled. 21 Day Fix was what I needed to jump start me back into weight loss. I wasn't perfect with the nutrition either. I ate raisins in my salad and I ate my Graze.com snacks each work day, but I still lost weight. You don't have to be perfect to lose weight with this program. You just need to be better than you were. I hadn't had any problems working out for the previous few months, but I had problems controlling my nutrition. 21 Day Fix helped me get that under control. I was eating healthy meals, but I was eating a lot of junk food for snacks. Doing this program got me to kick my sweet tooth (again). It's just what I needed when I needed it.
